Each business is unique and will differ in some operational areas. Our customised solutioning will be deployed when clients have more specific needs.
ExcelForte works with clients to create customised solutions in areas where our general software is unable to fully address our client’s needs. These will cover software design and implementation, inventory or procurement management or business process enhancement.
ExcelForte works with clients to create software that is custom and built from the ground up. Whatever your needs, and your processes, our consultants will work with you to create a system which you can deploy effectively in your organisation.
ExcelForte works with your team to create and develop software products for your clients – be it for your client, or product which you are developing for the market, let our experienced software engineers work with you on creating a product you can be proud of to call your own.
When ExcelForte is engaged to help our clients solve a custom need, we use our Forte Methodology to ensure that clients receive their solutions to their expectations. If a software company fails to uncover the real issues related to software use and deployment, the client will normally not receive satisfactory solutions. We find that the discovery stage is the most important and therefore, focus on this part before any software work is begun. We then use an integrated project management approach that provides the framework of planning, doing and delivering projects of any kind, size, nature and type. We use these methodologies to steer the projects in the right direction and keep them on track.
- Step 1: Enquire deeply: find out where current software falls short
- Step 2: Audit thoroughly: check current software features and use in the company
- Step 3: Extract operational information: discover current processes and gaps
- Step 4: Streamline processes: decide where software can help, how to use existing software and where to use new software
- Step 5: Develop and deliver: create, test and deliver our software solution
Waterfall is a linear approach to software development. In this methodology, the sequence of events; each of these represents a distinct stage of software development, and each stage finishes before the next one can begin.
Agile project management
Agile is an iterative, team-based approach to development. This approach emphasises the rapid delivery of an application in complete functional components. Rather than creating tasks and schedules, all time is “time-boxed” into phases called “sprints.” Each sprint has a defined duration (usually in weeks) with a running list of deliverables, planned at the start of the sprint. Deliverables are prioritised by business value as determined by the customer. If all planned work for the sprint cannot be completed, work is reprioritised and the information is used for future sprint planning.
